- Other Requirements:
- Entry fee is $600 per kart (1 set of Hoosier R80 tires is included with entry fee).
- Additional sets of tires must be purchased from BKC and are $210 a set.
- Teams must have no less than 3 drivers signed per kart entered.
- ***Drivers are allowed to drive for more than one team***.
- Kart must meet BKC 2021 rules safety standards.
- Entry fee must be paid in full before 8:00 am July 31st, 2021.
- Drivers can drive for multiple entries but must adhere to the team’s percentage of laps required.
- A team must provide their own Briggs and Stratton lo206 engine compliant with either a black wire holographic seal, an orange seal with red/black wire, or the “old style” orange seal with plain wire. Any engine restrictions are subject to the BKC rule book. (i.e. must be a sealed engine).
- Kart must utilize a standard gas tank (plastic euro style or metal sprint kart style), not exceeding 9 litres, mounted underneath the steering column.
- All drivers must adhere to the safety requirements of the BKC/WKA 2021 rule book.
- Spec fuel must be purchased from the BP in Dousman, WI (see BKC rulebook).
- Pit Stops must last a minimum of 5 minutes.
- Drivers must complete a minimum of 25 laps and cannot exceed driving for 40% of all laps completed..
- Tires must be Hoosier R80 (10x4.5 fronts, 11x6.0 rears). ALL ADDITIONAL SETS OF TIRES MUST BE PURCHASED NEW FROM REGISTRATION.
- No front brakes are allowed.
- No lay down/endure style karts are allowed.
- No rain racing.
- Pit Boards are allowed, but radio communication is strictly prohibited.
- All bolt-on weight must be painted white and clearly labeled with the team number. Loss of weight will be a 10-lap penalty. Weights must be secured as per the 2021 BKC rule book.
- Ballast may not be added internally to the chassis or components.
- All tech items may be inspected randomly during the event.
- Drivers may not carry weight/ballast on their person.
- Weight boxes are permitted to be affixed to the chassis for weight changes.
- Prizes:
- Senior class winner will receive $1,000 (6 entry minimum, alternative payout to be determined for fewer entries.)
- Junior class winner will receive $600 (6 entry minimum, alternative payout to be determined for fewer entries.)
- Additional prizes will be available with sponsor involvement.
- Timeline:
- 7:00am - Kart safety inspection and registration
- 8:00am - 9:15am - Practice (transponders required, start order to be determined by fast time during practice)
- 9:15am - 9:45am - Race prep
- 9:45am - 10:00am - Line up on grid
- 10:00am - 6:00pm - Race! Start will be standing starts with driver in the seat and a team member starting the engine at the drop of the green flag.
- 6:30pm - Awards ceremony
